I CAN FINALLY ANNOUNCE THIS LET’S GOOOOO

My webnovel launches on June 26th at 6 PM EST and you can read a preview of the first chapter for free on my Patreon! 

I’ve been working on Beneath the Woods since 2017 and have been releasing it as a webcomic since 2019. However, working on the comic caused me a LOT of burnout, so I wanted to find another sustainable way to share the story – hence the webnovel version!

What is Beneath the Woods? 

Inspired by series like Gravity Falls, The Owl House, and In Stars and Time, Beneath the Woods follows a trans teen named Max as he fights to understand his innate magical abilities – abilities he shouldn’t have – while unearthing a mystery tying him to an eldritch horror and a post-apocalyptic world.

It’s got:

I legitimately made this series because I was sad that Gravity Falls was over and couldn’t find any similar stories that I liked, so I made my own! : D A lot of the stuff that I enjoyed about Gravity Falls – Bill Cipher, the setting, the mystery and supernatural elements (especially around Ford), and the Weirdmageddon arc – inspired this story, so if you enjoyed those things, I hope you enjoy this, too!

Where can I read it? 

For the time being, all chapters will go up on my Patreon! However, the first 6 chapters will be available for free members. After that, all other chapters will be available for $5 Patrons!

After I complete the first act (which is about 12 chapters), I’ll start posting it on Tapas, Ao3, Tumblr, and it’s own website!

How will updates work?

I won’t have a specific schedule for the Patreon updates, but I’m aiming to post new chapters every 1 - 2 months on Thursdays! I will send out an announcement newsletter prior to each update, so you guys know when the next one is coming out. After the first act is complete, I will be posting updates on other platforms on a schedule! 🫡 

For the first chapter specifically, it’ll be split in half because it’s pretty long, so the first half will go up on June 26th and the second half will go up on July 3rd!
